Abstract

The article identifies the main parameters of demographic process on the example of the Khabarovsk territory in 2015-2020, indicating an increase in the rate of population decline, mainly due to the negative migration growth of the population. According to the data of state statistics bodies and the results of sociological surveys, the correlation between the population size and its migration outflow from the region was revealed. Based on the analysis of interregional population exchanges, their determining role in the demographic processes of the region is proved. Transformation of the social structure of the regional community is caused not only by the quantitative changes (population, youth, working age), but also by the qualitative changes in the ethnic composition of the region due to migration interaction with the border territories and CIS countries.
