Abstract
In Russia, as in many countries around the world, commuter rail are unprofitable, especially in the areas with a small volume of passenger traffic. This article will provide an overview of some works in the field of train timetables suburban sites and the technique of optimal choice of the variants of organization of suburban passenger transportation in areas with a small volume of passenger traffic.
