Abstract
In this article some theoretical-methodological approaches to understanding of the essence of social activity of the youth as an important factor of its socialization are presented. The author's interpretation of the concept of social activity of the youth is given. The role of public youth associations and the organizations in formation of the social activity of the youth is discussed.
