The daily life of citizens in the South of Russian Far East the end of 19th – 20th centuries

Abstract

The article provides an overview of the historical research on the study of everyday life of the cities of the south of the Far East. With the advent of the term "everyday life" in the eighties of the twentieth century, this subject becomes of particular relevance in historical research. There appear studies that explore both theoretical problems of the history of everyday life, and specific aspects of the subject. On the basis of a wide range of scientific works and the structure of existing research and empirical data objectively presented in these works, the author updated the question of studying everyday life of the population of remote Far East region of the Russian Empire in the historical period 1884 - 1913 years. A review of the all-Russian processes through the prism of the historiography of everyday life of urban population of a given region allows show the diversity of the general historical process as a whole.
