The research aims at developing a model of goal-setting and decision-making in managing tort risk in the insurance fi The article emphasizes the critical importance of risk management in minimizing the impact of tort risk, as well as the potential for negative synergies from its cumulative effect with other risks inherent in insurance activities. The paper offers a block approach to insurance companies to assist them in their risk management. By starting the processes simultaneously the approach will, on the one hand, coordinate the insurance company’s operation with the risk management concepts, and on the other hand, it will identify “problem areas” potentially having negative consequences due to torts.
