Young People's Assessments of Intra-family Relationships as a Condition for Psychological Assistance and Support: Sociological Analysis

Abstract

This scientifi article presents analysis of the results of regional sociological study «Youth of the Khabarovsk territory: state, problems and development prospects,» which reveals the features of intra-family confl psychological well- being of young people. It is important to understand that the social comfort and psychological well-being of youth in the family is largely determined by both the presence and scale of intra-family confl and the ability of family members to effectively mitigate and resolve them. Therefore, it was important for us to identify the presence and frequency of family confl their causes and methods of resolving, as well as the demand for psychological assistance and support by young people. Results of the study revealed the prevalence of intra-family confl associated to a greater extent with the characteristics of interpersonal relationships. Young people demonstrated the high level of need for psychological help and support related largely to the self-esteem and self-acceptance, indicating diffi in youth interaction with others. The revealed high level of anxiety of consciousness of young people is caused by the uncertainty of various conditions of their life. In this connection, the youth of the Khabarovsk territory demonstrated special request for psychological assistance and support from the state authorities implementing the youth policy.
