Abstract

The article discusses entrepreneurship as one of the type of work, having the character of economic operation and aimed at obtaining the business income. Accordingly, in the development and stabilizing of the society, entrepreneurship performs a variety of business functions. The main ones are: innovation, management and organization of production, profit, promotion progressive development of the country. Development of the Russian small business, its role and function to strengthen the socio-economic status of the country, viewed through the prism of its regional development. The region is defined as a subject of the Russian Federation, as an administrative and territorial or national-territorial part of the state, characterized by the unity of the system of socio-economic, ethno-cultural processes and conditions.
