The article is dedicated to specialities of the ship repair development in the Far East. Main difficulties and contradictions in progress of this national economy branch belonging to the region are revealed. The gradual growth of discontinuity between the needs of the fleet overhaul, especially of the fish trade, and the existing ship overhaul capacities, is shown. Main state measures, directed at the overcome of departmental disunity and coordination of the ship overhaul plant development of different departments as a single branch are given. The author comes to a conclusion, that by the middle of 1980th, first steps to develop the ship overhaul as a single branch were undertaken, however the interests of single departments were not overcome, the unified system of branch science was not created. Nevertheless, the branch fulfilled its primary role: overhaul of the major part of civilian and military fleet of the Far-Eastern basin.

Main difficulties and contradictions in progress of this national economy branch belonging to the region are revealed. It is shown, that during the whole period being researched, a persistent deficiency of ship repair capacities remained, which could especially be felt in the civilian fleet. Light is brought upon issues of new plant building. Main tendencies in development of manufacture capacities and manufacture arrangement at ship repair plants of different departures are designated. Problems of branch science are marked. The autor comes to a conclusion, that departmental disunity of concerns, as well as a lack of a unified, coordinated branch science has significantly retarted ship overhaul development. All of this did not allow to completely cover the needs of military and civilian fleet of far eastern basin in ship overhaul. This article is dedicated to the development of ship overhaul during the years 1965 – 1975.

The paper is devoted to the development of industrial and scientific-technical base of the shipbuilding in the Khabarovsk Territory during the eighth five-year plan. Technical upgrading and the implementation of new technologies and the work organization are shown by the authors on particular examples.

The article is devoted to the problem of socialistic competition organization in the shipbuilding enterprises in the Khabarovsk territory. The role of socialistic competition as an effective resource of increasing the paces of branch development became clear. The forms of competitions and their efficiency are shown in the article, their realization problems are devoted.
