The article is dedicated to the question of standard-legal regulation of the position of women of the USSR and about the condition of a network of establishments on the obstetric aid of the Far East of the RSFSR during the Great Patriotic War; the characteristic of the service conditions of women in maternity homes in 1941-1945th and the natural process of birth rate in the region in 1941st and the beginning of 1942nd as a whole is given; about a condition of a network of female and child’s care centers in a region and district is spoken.

The article is devoted to population of territories and areas of the Far East during the Great Patriotic War, the characterization of women’ population of the region in 1941 – 1945th and the demographic situation, population’s dynamics and people, who were mobilized to the RKKA is given. Age and sex structure of the population and the numbers of cities and villages inhabitants is analyzed in the article.

The article describes the role of women-medical workers in the providing of medical assistance to wounded and injured soldiers at the front and in the rear during the Great Patriotic War and the re-training to medical specialties needed during the war. The author gives attention to the contribution of women- medical workers of the Far East in particular, to the victory over the fascist invaders.

In the article the discussion deals with the involvement of women in the military – industrial production during the World War II, the preparation and the retraining of female professional personnel in the specialties necessary in the military time. The author pays attention to the party propagandistic work among the female population of the Far East, and also to the female antifascist patriotic movement.
