The educational process as a mechanism for adaptation of foreign students to the conditions of Russian society

Abstract

In the article the author analyzes the educational process as a special mechanism that influences the adaptation processes of the foreign student. Also, the features of conditions of the Russian society and the key sources through which the foreign student forms his attitude about the Russian culture are examined. The results of its own sociological research are presented based on a conclusion that was made about the importance of mastering the Russian language in the process of socio-cultural adaptation of foreign citizens. An important role is given to the conditions in which a foreign citizen realizes his right to receive higher education, as well as the peculiarities of representatives of different states in their perception of new teaching material. An important condition for the successful involvement of foreign students into the Russian culture and life, in general, is the learning process. This article can be interesting for specialists working in the field of education, intercultural communication, and adaptation of foreign students studying in Russian educational organizations.
