The features of organization of the control of periodicals in the Far East of Russia at the beginning of the XX century

Abstract

In this article the question of formation of the institute of censorship at the east boundaries of the Russian Empire at the beginning of the XX century is considered. The author describes the features of organization of the control of the printing word in the most remote regions of Russia. The attention to specifics to implementation of supervision of periodicals by local officials and representatives of the intellectuals in the conditions of absence in the Far East the representative of the Committee on censorship by the Administration for the press is given.
