Anthropological researches as an important part of scientific activity of V.K. Arsen’ev (On materials of personal archive of D.N. Anuchin).

Abstract

In this article the V.K. Arsen’ev's correspondence with outstanding Russian anthropologist D. N. Anuchin is analyzed. The appeal to archival materials allows to understand what place in the Arsen’ev's research activity was occupied by anthropology, and also to see as at the beginning of the XX century the domestic science replenished with the new knowledge of indigenous people of the Far East.
