Focusing the issues of administrative legal regulation in the field of public health in general and the social relations of the emerging in the field of drug products regulation, the author's approach to the consideration of the problems of «alternative medicine» is revealed, in the healthcare system of the modern state, whose policy is based on scientific knowledge and effective cultivation of highly social behavioral algorithms of the population. From a legal point of view, the article describes the concepts of «alternative medicine» and «alternative drugs» related to it. The analysis some of legal acts, scientific researches of various humanitarian and fundamental directions allowed to reflect the most important directions of the state health policy improvement in the opinion of the authors, which consist in the use of administrative legal means in informing the population and increasing individual medical literacy.
