In this article on the basis of results of the All-Russian and author's sociological researches the problem of deinstitutionalization of the Russian orphan-hood is analyzed, the all-Russian and regional specifics of its solution in Khabarovsk territory is revealed.

The paper analyzes the changes of institution of the social orphanhood to minimize the public boarding schools, where children are orphans and the children without parental care, as well as the problems of deinstitutionalization in the Khabarovsk Territory.
