The article is devoted to the protection of rights and interests of children in the Russian Federation. Particular attention is paid to protecting the rights of students and the peculiarities (specifics) of their studies and social activity, in particular the interpretation of the results of a poll of the students - participants of the Children's Forum "Children! The future! Khabarovsk region!" аmong the school students aged 12 – 16 years on the researched topic. Recommendations on the main directions of the children life organization in the context of the protection of their rights and freedoms are discussed.

In this article the questions of life insurance and health of the hired workers are considered. On the basis of results of the sociological research of the heads and hired employees of the construction organizations of the Khabarovsk Territory the problems and contradictions in the existing system of labor protection are revealed, the ways of their solution through the development of mechanisms of the social insurance are offered.

This article gives characteristic of the sociological aspects investigation in the field of occupational health and safety in the Khabarovsk region construction companies. The author reveals the consciousness and behavior of managers and employees, and an influence of objective and subjective factors on the life and the health preservation.

In the article the characteristic of the social structure of survival and the health of workers is given, the results of the study of the leaders and workers of the construction enterprises of the Khabarovsk territory on the questions of industrial safety measures are represented, recommendations to the organs of authority and leaders of organizations for the reduction of production traumatism at the enterprises are proposed.
