Educational potential of the labor market: the Far-Eastern flavor

Abstract

The relevance of the study undertaken is determined by the search for qualitative characteristics of the regional labor market, reflecting the needs and conditions of training of workers demanded by the society and the economy. These factors are of particular interest in assessing the state and prospects of the labor market development of the Far-Eastern federal district, taking into account the specifics of organization of the economy and life in this territory, as well as natural, climatic and geopolitical conditions. The competitiveness of educational organizations is determined by their attractiveness for potential students, the possibility to get the level and type of professional training required for this region, which is demanded by the market. The subject of the study is the mechanism of realization of opportunities of educational organizations to create the necessary amount of labor resources, which correspond to the goals of effective functioning of the regional labor market. The aim of work is to identify the instruments to influence the market parameters to meet the demand for labor from the regional economic system and the satisfaction with education and future work from the learners, which should improve the quality and standard of living of the population of the region. This work opens a cycle of research on the competitiveness of education and, in the author’s opinion, can serve as a basis for choosing the development paths of educational organizations of the Far-Eastern federal district.
